TutorCloud is an AI learning platform for K-12 students, built by educators. Students are supported by an AI tutor that adapts to their pace of learning, while teachers use iTEMA to reduce time spent on lesson planning and grading. Parents and teachers buy directly, across India and the United States. This role sits within that consumer business, focused only on the United States market.

About the Role

You work a defined set of parents and teachers in the United States who have already shown strong intent to buy: an abandoned cart, a failed payment, or unusually high product engagement. Your responsibility is to call them, understand what is holding them back, and convert that intent into a paid subscription.

Key Responsibilities

  • Call parents and teachers who show high-intent signals: an abandoned cart, a failed payment or very high engagement, and work each one toward payment.
  • Diagnose why a payment did not go through, whether a card decline, a technical issue or hesitation, and resolve it on the call.
  • Handle pricing and plan questions with confidence, and address the objections that are keeping a user from converting.
  • Own conversion as your core metric: track and report call volume, contact rate and payment conversion rate.
  • Maintain accurate records of every conversation and outcome in the CRM.
  • Follow up by call and message until a lead converts or is confirmed lost.
  • Flag recurring reasons for cart abandonment or payment failure to the product and marketing teams.
  • Use AI tools to prepare for calls and personalise outreach, improving your conversion rate over time.

What You Will Bring

  • 3 to 5 years in inside sales or telesales, closing consumer subscriptions or products, primarily for the United States market.
  • Demonstrated experience converting high-intent, warm leads over the phone, and the ability to work night hours aligned with US business hours.
  • A clear, professional US accent that is easily understood by an American audience.
  • Comfortable discussing pricing, plans and payment objections, and closing the conversation on the call.
  • Working knowledge of a CRM platform to log calls and track conversion; experience with MoEngage is an advantage.
  • Resilient and target-driven, comfortable with rejection and a payment conversion quota.
  • Familiarity with current AI tools, and the judgement to apply them where they genuinely improve efficiency.

Good to Have

  • Experience selling directly to consumers, in a D2C, subscription or edtech business.
  • Specific experience with cart abandonment or payment recovery calling.
  • Exposure to the education sector, or to a parent or teacher audience.
